Auctions: An Ottoman kilij, set with corals

This Ottoman kilij, set with corals, is one of the notable items in the Antique Arms and Armour auction of Hermann Historica in Munich, Germany, which is held on June 22.

The description in the auction catalogue is as follows:
The typically shaped blade in Damascus steel with a chiselled spine, pronounced yelman and gold inlays on the obverse, reverse and the chased back of the blade. Filigree on the silver-plated grip, lavishly set with corals and turquoises. The copper foil scabbard embellished en suite, an inscription cartouche on the reverse, two movable suspension rings. Length 87 cm.
