Auctions: a 17th Century German dagger
The May auction of Hermann Historica in Munich features, in the section Antique Arms and Armour from all over the world, this chiselled German dagger with pierced blade, circa 1650-1660.

The catalogue description reads as follows:
"Double-edged blade with reinforced point of flattened diamond section. On both sides three long fullers with decorative perforations. Superbly cut iron quillons with depiction of allegorical figures amidst acanthus leaves on both sides. Original grip with elaborate iron wire wrap and Turks' heads. Horizontally oval pommel with cut décor. Length 40.5 cm."
